For security reasons,with reference to northern Nigeria.Almost each community setting ,has a small forest situated 300 -500 meters away.These are the perfect sites for community apiary sites.But operating the hives within the sites has to be during evenings to avoid bee stings to both humans and animals

Farmer groups in our working communities have problems in managing their colonies. My experience at the training workshop yesterday and today shows that a small apiary is better that a big one, and using correct top bars (3.2 cm) helps the bees to form one comb per top bar.
